Our college boasts an active Student Council, established in accordance with the guidelines outlined in The Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 Section 40 2(b). The primary aim of this council is to oversee student welfare and facilitate the organization and coordination of various extracurricular activities across different student associations. It operates with a clear mandate to enhance the collegiate experience and foster a vibrant campus community. Importantly, the council abstains from involvement in political activities, ensuring a focus on the holistic development and well-being of all students.However the council participates in decision-making processes that shape both their future and the college's progress. Students are encouraged to be part of the College Development Committee (CDC), contributing to the overall vision and excellence of the institution.

College serves as a vital platform for students to hone their skills in effective governance. Consequently, elections are conducted to provide them with hands-on experience in practicing these skills and mastering the art of representation. Through this process, students gain valuable insights into democratic representation and participation. As mandated by the Maharashtra Universities Act (M.U.A.) of 1994, Section 40, a Students' Council is to be formed annually during the initial term, ensuring continuity in providing students with opportunities for growth and development in governance. .

As per Maharashtra Universities Act,1994 and Maharashtra Universities (Amendment & Continuance) Act,2000 (Mah. Ord.IX of 2000 pertaining to the formation of Student's Council. The Student's Council for each Institution, conducted College and affiliated College consist of:- .

• The Principal-Chairman
• One lecturer, nominated by the Principal
• Teacher in charge of The National Cadet Corps
• The National Service Scheme Programme Officer
• Director of Sports and Physical Education
• The Teacher in charge of Cultural committee.
• One student from each class, who has shown academic merit at the examination held in the preceding year and who is engaged in full-time studies in the College, nominated by the Principal.
• One student from each of the following activities, who has shown outstanding performance, nominated by the Principal, namely:-
1. Sports
2. National Service Scheme and Adult Education
3. National Cadet Corps
4. Cultural Activities
5. Lady students nominated by the Principal.
6. One student representing special category (SC/ST/OBC) The student members of this Council shall elect from amongst themselves the Secretary and the president of the Council.

• Promoting Student Participation in decision-making processes that contribute to the college's progress and their own future.
• Cultivating leadership skills Leadership and Management Skillsamong the students.
• Encouraging students to collaborate effectively in teams.
• Providing opportunities to master event management.
• Facilitating interactions with college management to address students' daily challenges.

1. To Act as a channel between the students and the management of the college.
2. To promote and coordinate the extra-curricular activities of different students associations and committees which are constituted at the college and recognized institution or university department and university level, like Art circle, Gymkhana committee, Elocution and Debate Committee, Literary Committee, etc.
3. To promote and maintain discipline among the students on the campus.
4. To organize various activities for promoting cultural, social and personality development of the students.
5. To assist proactively in resolving the difficulties and grievances of the students within its jurisdiction.
6. To suggest innovative ideas and schemes for students' welfare to the respective competent authorities.
7. To suggest the administration of the University /College/Institution about appropriate steps to be taken regarding the discipline, security and safety issues of students.
8. To promote more participation of students in different events of sports, culture and other outreach programmes.
9. To strive for provisions of the basic amenities and facilities to the students.
10. To perform such other functions and duties as may be assigned to it by Principal or Director or Pro-Vice-Chancellor, as the case may be.
