RESERVATION OF SEATS

(Reservations)

The various reservations provided for the seats excluding Minority Institutions available under Centralized Admission Process (excluding All India Seats) under the purview of competent authority are detailed here.

1.1 Reservation for Socially, Educationally and Economically backward class candidates:

The distribution of the seats available under Centralized Admission process amongst the various Socially, Educationally and Economically backward class candidates from Maharashtra State are as per the details given in the table below. Following reservation shall as per the policy of the Government declared from time to time.

NOTE

  • Reservation for backward class candidates i.e. 50% as stated above shall be available for the seats (excluding All India Seats) under the purview of the Competent Authority in Government, Government Aided, and Unaided Non-Minority Institutes.
  • If other Backward Class Category seats remain vacant, such seats shall be considered for allotment to the Candidates of Special Backward Class (SBC) Category limited to the extent of 2% seats.
  • Admission of Backward Class Candidates on Reserved Seats shall be subject to verification of his/her Caste/Tribe Certificate.
  • The Backward Class Candidate who got admitted on the reserved seat in First Year or Direct Second Year shall be required to submit duly filled application to the respective Caste/Tribe Scrutiny Committee for verification of his/her Caste/Tribe Certificate within 1 months from the date of his/her admission.
  • If the Backward Class Candidate fails to submit Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate in the same academic year in which he/she was admitted, he/she shall not be eligible for admission in next academic year.
