ABOUT EXAMINATION


Guidelines for the conduct of theory examinations

  • Sessional Exams: There shall be two or more periodic sessional (internal assessment) examinations during each academic year. The duration of the sessional exam shall be 90 minutes. The highest aggregate of any two performances shall form the basis of calculating the sessional marks.
  • Internal assessment: The marks secured by the students out of the total 40 shall be reduced to 20 in each sessional, and then the internal assessment shall be calculated based on the best two averages for 20 marks.

  • Sessional Exams: There shall be two or more periodic sessional (internal assessment) practical examinations during each academic year. The duration of the sessional exam shall be three hours. The highest aggregate of any two performances shall form the basis of calculating the sessional marks.
  • Internal assessment:The marks secured by the students out of the total of 80 shall be reduced to 10 in each sessional, and then the internal assessment shall be calculated based on the best two averages for 10 marks from the sessional and other 10 marks shall be awarded as per the average marks from the Assignment marks and Field Visit Report marks.
  • Final Board Exams:The theory and Practical examinations conducted by the examining authority Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) as per the scheme of the question paper. The duration of the final examination shall be 3 hours.

  • MARKS FOR PASSING IN THE EXAMINATION

    A student shall not be declared to have passed Diploma in Pharmacy examination unless he/she secures at least 40% marks in each of the subject separately in the theory examinations (including sessional marks) and at least 40% marks in each of the subject separately in the practical examination (including sessional marks.) The candidate securing 60% marks or above in aggregate in all subjects in a single attempt at the Diploma in Pharmacy Part I or Part II examinations will be declared to have passed in first class in the respective case. Candidates securing 75% marks or above in any subject/subjects will be declared to have passed with distinction in that subject / those subjects provided he/she passes in all the subjects in a single attempt.
