QUALIFYING EXAMINATION AND ELIGIBILITY

Minimum qualifications for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy (part I) Course :- A pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.

1. Intermediate examination in Science.
2. The first year of the three year degree course in Science.
3. 10 + 2 (academic stream) in Science.
4. Pre-degree examination or
5. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
The following categories of candidates shall also be eligible for admission even though they may not have passed qualifying examination from any of the recognized colleges in Maharashtra, subject to compliance of all other conditions in Rule mentioned above.
a. Sons and daughters of persons domiciled in Maharashtra State, subject to production of certificate of domicile in respect of the father & where the father of the candidate is not alive or has divorced and the candidate is staying with his mother, domicile certificate of mother of the candidates should be produced.
b. Sons and daughters of Central Government employees, including Defence Service Personnel, who have been transferred to the Maharashtra State during the last academic year preceding the one in which the admissions are affected. Other dependents of Central Government employees are not included in this category.
c. Candidates sponsored by the Government of India against the seats reserved for Government of India.
d. Sons and daughters of Maharashtra State Government Servants presently posted in the State of Maharashtra but whose sons/daughters have passed qualifying examination from institutions outside the State of Maharashtra when such Government Servant was posted or was on deputation outside the State of Maharashtra.
e. Candidates from outside the State of Maharashtra, for only the seats available for such category under these rules.
f. Students from foreign countries only can apply for the seats available for such candidates under these rules. The requirement of having Indian Nationality shall be relaxed in the case of this category.
