MARATHI VANGMAY MANDAL
Marathi Vangmay Mandal was inaugurated on 27th February,
2016 on the occasion of Birth anniversary of a great Marathi poet
and novelist Shri. Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar popularly known as, Kusumagraj.
A well-known Marathi actor Mr. Prasad Khandekar was invited as the
chief guest for the inauguration function. The Object of forming Marathi
Vangmay Mandal was to promote our regional language, Marathi and encourage
the students to develop their speaking and writing skills in Marathi.
Mr. Amar U. Sontakke, the convener of Marathi Vangmay Mandal. conducted
various activities like Poetry writing, Poetry recitation, essay,
elocution, book review etc.
Activities conducted in 2016-17 include the following:
1. Marathi Essay writing competition on, ‘Mazya Manatil Paus’
was arranged in the college. Around 30 students participated in the
competition.
2. Marathi Vangmay Mandal has published, ‘Yuvank’ a handbook of students. This special edition consists Student’s poems, pictures, articles etc. in the handwriting of students. The original manuscript has been put in the Library.
3. Marathi Pandharwada from 1st January to 15th January 2017 with the arrangements of various competitions, such as Katha-Kathan, Six words Story, Deabate Competition, Speeches, Poetry Recitation and Granth-Pradarshan etc.
